CloseKarin Seymour is Client and Marketing Director for Sky Media, having joined Sky in November 2022. Karin is responsible for three core areas of Sky Media’s commercial department – direct client relationships, Sponsorships and Partnerships, and Marketing. Before joining Sky, Karin spent nearly 25 years working for news brands, having spent 18 years at News UK, her last role as GM of Client Strategy and Bridge Studio. An experienced media leader, Karin specialises in working at board level with clients, helping partner with them to solve their business challenges through the use of both media and creativity. A passionate advocate for equality, she is committed to creating an inclusive working environment. And as a mum to two small boys, she is highly supportive of working parents, having founded News for Parents, the parents ERG at News UK.
Amy is the Customer and Commercial Leader at Channel 4, where she’s all about making big things happen in the world of broadcast advertising. From linear TV to VOD and ad tech, she’s done it all. Amy has spearheaded projects like Black to Front, Black in Business, and the Paralympic Games Accessible Advertising initiative. Always on the hunt for fresh ideas, she’s passionate about amplifying unheard voices in British advertising.
Fox moved from OMD UK at the end of 2023 to drive market-leading connected planning excellence across OMG UK, to deliver effectiveness, efficiencies and improved outcomes for clients. Her role is to ensure that the group and its clients are equipped to navigate the increasing complexity in the media landscape, and to leverage the proliferation of available data to deliver fully integrated planning across paid, owned and earned communications.
In her previous role as Chief Planning Officer at OMD UK, Fox led the agency’s planning output to create competitive advantage for their clients. During her tenure, she oversaw the creation of the agency’s Connected Performance team (joining media planning with biddable expertise to deliver audience-first thinking) and re-built the OMD Planning Process to focus on Full Funnel Planning. At group level, Fox played a key role in the creation of a suite of products and solutions focused on Attention metrics.
Fox has been twice named Media Planner of the Year by Campaign (‘20 and ‘21), was honoured with an IPA Fellowship in 2021 in recognition of her services to Media Planning and was Highly Commended in the IPA’s iList 2022.
Laura Chaibi is a seasoned media and marketing professional who has pioneered digital media measurement across online, mobile, social, and video for consumer, media, and advertising insights and effectiveness; more than $200m of insights and multimillion dollar ad budgets have been managed under her watchful eye over her 20-year career at a company and industry level.
Her background working with major global broadcasters, digital and advertising brands worldwide including Yahoo, Orange France Telecom, BBC, AOL and Comcast has primed her for International expansion at Roku leading Advertising Marketing and Insights with Roku. She has amassed technical skills from years steeped in digital measurement for VOD platform requirements and analytics.
Laura is CIM qualified from London Metropolitan University and sits on the board of WIRe, Women in Research Executives, a USA not for profit helping women globally with their paths into leadership roles.
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Laura has lived and worked across four continents and has returned to the UK after several years based in Dubai.
She is back to build out the emerging future of Connected TV advertising and measurement and all it has to offer.
Jay joined ITV three years ago as controller of advanced advertising to drive the rollout of Planet V, and more recently, drive all aspects of digital revenue growth and innovation under AdLabs. Prior to ITV, Jay held numerous ad-tech roles, most notably at Videology, where he led EMEA Brand Solutions, after starting his career with an 18-year stint at MediaCom. Jay also sits on the leadership committee of Media For All. Now with more than 1000 members, MEFA was established to help recruit, retain, and develop Black, Asian, and ethnic minority talent in the UK media industry.
Iranian comedian Shaparak Khorsandi grabbed the comedy world’s attention with her original sell-out Edinburgh show, Asylum Speaker. Both feisty and flirty, she softens a razor-sharp wit with a deliciously dizzy delivery and endless charm.
Her fringe debut led to numerous television appearances, including Mock The Week, Lenny's Britain and The Big Read. She has become a regular on Radio 4 shows, with credits from Quote Unquote and The Unbelievable Truth to her own series Shappi Talk. She’s also been seen on Live at the Apollo, Genius, and Channel 4's Alternative Election Night.
Outside standup Shaparak is a sought-after commentator on everything from Woman's Hour to the Open University, Question Time, and The Culture Show. In her book Scatter Brain: How I finally got off the ADHD rollercoaster and became the owner of a very tidy sock drawer, she looks back on her life through the lens of ADHD and shares her journey of self-discovery.
Sara is research and insights director at The Trade Desk, and is responsible for leading impactful market research and insights for commercial leadership, clients and external communications across EMEA. Prior to that, Sara held several positions over a decade at Twitter (now X), including leading the EMEA Ad Research team, establishing the UK Research team, and launching multiple European offices in a commercial capacity. Over the course of her career, Sara has led award-winning projects, including winning the ESOMAR Peter Cooper Award for qualitative excellence in 2017, MRS Consumer Insights award 2016 and has been recognised in industry on the Grit Future List 2019 and Ad tech inclusion in “50 Women You Should Know.”
A creative technologist and social expert with 9 years within the BBDO network, Matt Henry is responsible for developing and implementing innovation and transformation plans, products and offerings for AMV. He provides consultation and support for some of the worlds’ biggest brands as they develop new ways of communicating with customers. He is a thought leader on AI and Web3 within the industry; and leads AI for Mars at an Omnicom level. He is behind some of the pioneer uses of AI for the Whiskas brand with “Ask The Cats” and “Pay by Purr” initiatives.
Jen is the co-founder and chief operating officer of Vixen Labs, the leading global agency for voice assistants and conversational AI, now part of House 337. She leads the AI product output of House 337, with a focus on how conversational and generative AI can transform businesses and drive forward innovation in our lives, now and in the future. Her work includes long-term partnerships with companies such as Amazon, Reckitt, and Dyson.
With expertise in linguistics and over a decade of experience leading creative and CX teams, Jen is passionate about how these technologies will shape our world, with a particular interest in the psychology, ethics and creativity behind conversational interactions.
Jen regularly speaks internationally on all things AI and conversational technology - especially around ethics and biases in conversational technologies, as well as deep dives on the innovative principles of voice and conversational AI design.
